Bhai Duj is the last day of Deepawali festival festival. The day of the second date of the Kartik Shukla Paksha is called Bhai Duj
. The next day after the festival
of Dhan Tharas, Roop Chaudas, Deepawali and Govardhan Pooja, the sister who enjoys the relationship of brother and sister enjoys the next day .
On this day, flowing with brother's roli, Tilak and Aarti show respect and love towards brother. The brother promises to support his sister in every way, and gives love by giving gifts, sweets, blessings etc. These types of
festivals , which are tied to relationships, are an integral part of India's culture.
Bhai Duji is also called Yama Dwitiya. It is said that on this day Yamraj went to his sister Yamuna. The sister welcomed her with a tilak and had a meal with love. It is said that the sister who is lovingly feeding her brother on this day, wishes her happiness by putting a tilak on her, she is always fortunate enough. And the brother who makes tilak from his sister on this day
receives the blessings of Yamraj.
Yamraaj and Yamdoots are worshiped on this day. There is also a worship of Chitragupta. The bathing in the Yamuna river is considered auspicious before worshiping Yamraaj on Yama Dwitiya.
It is also believed that Lord Krishna went to his sister Subhadra's house after killing Narkasur. There Subhadra
was welcomed by taking aarti by wearing tilak on his head . From then on, this festival of Bhai Duj was celebrated.
